Nourished Eating Program

A three month online nutrition coaching program designed to help  you develop a healthy relationship with food. 

By the end of the program you will:

  • gain insight into the effects of diets and dieting on health
  • learn how to listen to your body, including hunger and fullness cues
  • clarify nutrition myths and food rules
  • gain cofidence and clarity in food choices and meal planning
  • develop a healthy relationship with your food and body

Three month coaching program includes:

  • One 60-minute initial consult nutrition coaching session
  • Five 45-minute follow-up coaching sessions
  • Customized resources and action plan
  • Meal planning support
  • Email support between sessions

What can I expect at the initial consult and follow up sessions?

The initial coaching session is where we discuss your past medical history, eating habits, lifestyle, lab data and blood sugars, challenges and personal health goals. Based on the assessment we create a step by step strategy to help meet YOUR nutrition goals. Assessments are done in-person or online.

In the follow-up sessions we discuss your challenges and questions, provide nutrition education and support, and the accountability and motivation you need to sustain your lifestyle changes. Follow ups are in-person or online.

What is your counseling philosophy?
As a Registered Dietitian I don’t believe in diets or quick fixes to achieve your health. I follow evidence based guidelines and my clinical judment to support you on your wellness journey. I adopt intuitive eating principles and encourage clients to follow a Mediterranean inspired lifestyle.
What is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)?

A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist is a licensed professional who has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, has completed a Dietetic Internship, and has successfully passed the Dietetic Registration Exam. The Dietitian maintains her licensure via continuing education credits.
Note that a ‘nutritionist’ is not a licensed professional. Anyone who has completed coursework in nutrition can call themselves a nutritionist.

What is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)?
A Certified Diabetes Educator is a health professional who has extensive knowledge in the management of Diabetes. The person is required to complete 1000 hours of direct diabetes care, write a certification exam, and maintain certification through continuing education credit.
How can a Registered Dietitian help me meet my nutrition and health goals?
​A Registered Dietitian can help simplify nutrition information to help you meet your nutrition and health goals. They help you understand food and how food choices affect your health, support you in developing healthy eating behaviors, provide you with the tools to create healthy meals, and teach you how to develop a healthy relationship with food and your body. An Registered Dietitian works alongside the healthcare team and your doctor, but spends a longer time with you at appointments to discuss your health goals and support you in making lifelong lifestyle changes.
How do I know if working with a Registered Dietitian is the right step for me?
A Registered Dietitian is the food and nutrition expert that will help you reach your health and nutrition goals. If after reading through this website you are not sure if you would like to meet with a Registered Dietitian, contact me for a free discovery call and we can answer your questions!
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept Medicare, Aetna and Coventry. If you have a different insurance I accept  cash or credit card (including HSA) and can provide you with a Superbill (medical receipt) to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
Do you bill insurance?

My current program offering is not covered by insurance. I do accept  cash or credit card (including HSA) and can provide you with a Superbill (medical receipt) to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Where is your office located?

Counseling sessions are done in my office in Atlanta, GA or virtually via a HIPAA compliant online virtual platform.
