Authentic Tabbouleh Salad

This authentic Middle Eastern tabbouleh salad is fresh and delicious.

  • 2 bunch Italian parsley
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 2 green onions
  • 3 tbsp burghul fine
  • ½ tsp sumac
  • ½ tsp dried mint
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • salt to taste


  1. Chop the parsley (see directions in blog) and place in a bowl.

  2. Finely dice the tomatoes and add to the parsley.

  3. Chop the green onions (white and green part) and add to the parsley.

  4. Cook the burghul by placing it in a small bowl with water for 10 minutes. Strain any excess water then add it to the salad.

  5. Make the vinaigrette by mixing the olive oil, lemon juice, salt and dried spices. Drizzle over the salad and mix well.
  6. Serve immediately.
